Napoleonic Prisoner of War sandalwood, bone and marquetry inlaid Table Cabinet. Top has breakfront pierced gallery and panel with initials K.H.R. above a watch holder, flanked by cupboards to each side and a drawer below, above a fall front to interior with doors and compartments and on bracket feet. There is accompanying note, said to be “Copied from label on Glass dome” (dome no longer available) “by A.L.Pease May 26th 1903, Brinkburn, Darlington.” Note reads :- “A Small cabinet made by Canute Helveston Reoham a Danish Prisoner detained at Woolwich in 1812.
